Our Values

  • To improve the lives of people with autism and learning disabilities who cannot live independently without support.

  • Reside’s mission is to support individuals with autism and learning disabilities so that they can live a safe, fulfilling life that reflects their individual needs and preferences.

  • We will be recognised as a skilled provider, trusted to support people with complex needs, where people feel that we have made a real difference.

Our Values

  • We will respect each other, the individuals we support, and all the stakeholders we engage with.

    Examples:

We will support each other in the workplace, coach each other and help when needed. We show up for work on time so our colleagues can leave on time, we take the time to give a good handover so that there are no surprises, and we make sure that we don’t leave outstanding tasks or paperwork. We cover for each other when a colleague is ill and make sure everyone can take their holidays and have a break - even if that means us working overtime on occasion.

We will meet the needs and preferences of the individuals we support where we can, and think creatively about how we can engage with, and support, them to live a better life. We never talk about individuals we support in derogatory terms, and we advocate for them at all times.

We will represent the business positively with stakeholders, remaining polite and professional in all our communications. We will meet the expectations that have been agreed between the business and stakeholders.

  • We show up every day, act with purpose, always give our best, are committed to continually learning and improving, and always by your side.

    Examples

We actively think every day about what the individuals we support need and their preferences, and how we can do things more effectively. We don’t cut corners, we do things to the best of our ability, to a high standard.

We reflect on our learning and actively seek new learning opportunities.

We show up every day with a positive, can-do attitude and do not bring outside stress into the lives of the individuals that we support.

  • We value everyone for their unique talents, and communicate effectively to engage and include everyone.

    Examples

We see everyone as a valued individual no matter what their background, gender, faith, or skin colour. Where people lack capacity or communication skills we work hard to understand what they are trying to tell us.

We respect people’s choices and never discriminate against them.

  • We act with integrity and always tell the truth.

    Examples

We ensure that everyone has the facts they need. We do not lie or omit information. We are open and transparent.

If we make a mistake we own it and any changes we need to make to avoid similar mistakes in the future.

We keep accurate factual records, avoid including feelings and introducing bias.

We follow the policies and procedures set out by the business.

    We have an open culture.
