Carly Pugh

Operations Director & Nominated Individual

My journey in social care began while I was at university, studying Forensic Psychology and Criminal Justice. To support my studies, I worked as a Night Support Worker, an experience that quickly showed me the power of care, compassion, and human connection. From those early shifts, I knew this was the field where I wanted to make a real difference.

My first management role was in services supporting individuals with autism and learning disabilities, many of whom also had a forensic background. This role deepened my understanding of the challenges people face and the importance of creating safe, supportive environments where individuals can thrive.

I then moved into Business Development, where I combined my passion for people with strategic growth. This experience gave me the opportunity to build sustainable services, foster meaningful partnerships, and ensure organisations could expand without ever losing sight of the individuals at the heart of their work.

Today, I am proud to be part of Reside Support as Operations Director and Nominated Individual. In this role, I bring together my frontline experience and business development expertise to help shape and deliver services that are person-centred, compassionate, and impactful. For me, working at Reside Support is more than a role it’s a chance to live my values every day and continue making a real difference in people’s lives.
